Summer Update on "The Happenings" at Fox Meadow Winery
The vines are growing by "Leaps and Bounds"
June 6th Sunset in the Vineyard. We will be staying open until 8:00 PM (weather permitting) to enjoy the sun setting over the vineyard. Laura Vines and Keith Filppu will be entertaining from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Flute and Classical Guitar duet is a very special combo.
June 6th & 7th Vineyard and Winery Tours offered at 11:30 AM each weekend day during the summer. The walk around certain portions of the vineyard and a visit to the wine cellar allows the visitor the opportunity to see exactly what is happening both inside and out. There is no cost for the tour but Reservations are required. So please call ahead so that we can make sure that staff is available for the tours. Also, please wear shoes suitable for walking over rough ground
June 20th is Summer Solstice at the winery. Beginning at 5:00 PM we will have a Friends of Fox’s wine club event until 8:00 PM.
June 27th Barrel tastings in the wine cellar - Taste the 2008 Red wines in the barrels and get a sneak peak, (taste), of the unreleased 2007 red wines bottled earlier this year. Cost is $10.00 per person and reservations are required.
July 4th, Sunset in the Vineyard. We will be staying open until 8:00 PM (weather permitting) to enjoy the sun setting over the vineyard. Classical guitarist Patrick Fritz will be entertaining from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
July 4th, 5th, & 6th We will be celebrating our nation’s birthday with special Red, White and Blue food Pairings. There will be door prizes for visitors this weekend.
July 11th & 12th Come to the winery and celebrate Bastille Day. “Viva La France”. We will be releasing the 2007 Le Renard Rouge, our Bordeaux style blend. Special food paring will be provided and other special activities.
July 18th Classical Guitarist Glen Caluda will be entertaining from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at the winery.
August 1st Sunset in the Vineyard. We will be staying open until 8:00 PM (weather permitting) to enjoy the sun setting over the vineyard. Glen Caluda will be entertaining from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Mark your calendar for the 1st annual Food Pairing Party on August 8th
At the winery, participants will be provided 2 glasses of wine (1 white & 1 red) and will enjoy various foods to pair with the wines. During this special event you will be provided with many different types of yummy foods including fruits, meats, cheeses, canopies, and other delights and everyone will attempt to create the perfect food pairing for their wine. At the end of the event each pairing created will be nominated and voted on. You may end up creating the next Fox Meadow Winery food pairing offered at the winery. Reservation will be required and the event will be limited to 40 people. A fee will be charged for this activity.
